Profession
Almost 39 years in uniformed service from 1968 to 2006. Instructor at National Defence Academy (NDA) Khadakvasla, Pune. 1981 to 1984. Instructor at Defence Services Staff College, Wellington. 1993 to 1996.

Attended National Defence College (NDC). 2001. The course included visits to Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Bhutan as members of Government delegations. Visited Israel and Switzerland with the Army Chief as his Staff Officer in 2002. Chairman of 18 Army Schools and KVs in HP and J and K as Chief of Staff, HQ 9 Corps. 2005-2006. Visited and lectured at all these schools.

About Myself
I am a retired Army officer with military service across India - in the war zone as well as in routine service. The war zone service has been in seven tenures and includes sustaining gun-shot wounds in an encounter in South Kashmir. I have done Masters in English from Punjab University and in Defence Studies from Madras University besides M Phils on military subjects from Madras University in 1996 and 2001. I have authored/edited books on military subjects post retirement and am a free-lance writer in print media since 1984. I am a motivational speaker on diverse subjects including ecology.
